Art History 8-18 HST008 Self-Paced

Art History takes a look at the development of art in different regions around the world from prehistory through to the modern age. Students begin the course by studying global prehistoric art, before delving into the art of the ancient Mediterranean. Next, students turn to study the art of Early Europe and Colonial America, after which they take a look at later European art and art from post-colonial America. Next, students take a look at indigenous American art, before learning about the art of Africa, followed by a look at the art of Asia and the Pacific. Students finish the course with a study of global contemporary art.
