About

In honors journalism, students learn how to craft and analyse interesting pieces of writing for others to enjoy. The course begins with an overview of the rudimentary concepts in journalism before turning to one of the key tools of every journalist - interviews. Next, the course devotes itself to studying how different types of articles are written - inclusive of news, features and sports articles as well as editorials. The course finishes with a look at different components in many articles (or freestanding elements) including cartoons, photojournalism and advertising.
