Precalculus & Trig. 8-18 MTH009 Self-Paced (NCAA)

  • 52 Weeks
  • 4 Steps

About

The precalculus primarily focuses on reviewing information from previous courses. However, it is a course where concepts from geometry, like conic sections, are woven together with concepts from algebra, like polynomial functions. At the same time, the precalculus course introduces many new concepts such as polar equations and more. This course also introduces students to some strongholds which will be required for higher-level calculus courses. Students understand ideas such as limit notation and gain a solid understanding of the types of functions and relations, and how to restrict domains of relations in order to get functions.
