This engaging and comprehensive Grade 1 ELA course is designed to help young learners develop foundational reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and creative storytelling, students will explore a wide variety of topics, including fiction and nonfiction texts, phonics, grammar, writing, and research skills. The course is divided into 18 thematic units, each covering key literacy concepts aligned with first-grade Common Core standards. Students will progress from basic reading and phonics skills to more advanced comprehension and writing techniques, with plenty of opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and independent learning.
