In the prealgebra course, students consolidate their foundation for moving onto an algebra course. In the course, students review previous learning in detail, going over important concepts and introducing new ones which will also later come up in algebra courses. Students begin by studying numbers, before taking a look at fractions, decimals and percentages, after which they delve into basic algebra. Students build a skillset which enables them to solve simple equations and understand graphs, and also review geometry which will be later needed in algebra courses as well.
