In the Spanish I course, students learn all about the Spanish language and culture. By the end of the course, students are able to say a paragraph fluently in Spanish and write it too, as well as able to understand Spanish conversation. As in all language courses, students learn Spanish through a mixture of vocabulary, grammar and culture. Students study vocabulary which can help them in their everyday life. Students learn how to ask for and receive directions, as well as how to run a business in Spain, giving them real-life skills which they can use with their Spanish knowledge. Students study Spanish grammar to help them completely understand and translate text, and listen to Spanish music and videos in order to gain a full grasp of the nuances of the language. Finally, students also learn about Spanish culture, with each unit containing a unique culture aspect, allowing for full cultural and linguistic immersion into the Spanish language.
